double-page: Image

Final chose for DPS:
Original photo
Flipped the image the other way round
I have flipped the image the other way round, this because; I wanted the image on the left side of the double-paged article, this is because all r&b magazines have the image one the left side of the page, so I wanted to conform that 'rule'. Flipping it the other way round worked very successfully as you can see on the top right image.

WITH THE 'QUICK SELECTION TOOL' ONLY.
As you can see in this picture above, I used the 'QUICK SELECTION TOOL' to crop the image out of the background. However, as you can see there is some rough looking area's in the outlier of the image. It doesn't look like it is part of the background like it doesn't look like she was taken with that background. Therefore, I then used the 'polygonal lasso tool' to make it look more straight and and part of the background, also, to make the 'picture being part of the background' possible I zoomed in so much and then blurred out the outlier of the image to make it look one with the background.

'Quick selection tool' and 'Polygonal lasso tool' used in the image:

I made the background white and used the 'Quick selection tool' to delete parts of the layer this is because, I wanted to get the image alone and crop her out of the background as the original background isn't appropriate for my genre which is r&b. Also, I used the Polygonal Lasso tool to clear out any faults or any off bits that made the picture look fake and looked as if it was cropped out, I wanted to go for this look because, I wanted the picture to be part of the background, like their one. Also, I wanted it to look almost professional.

Furthermore, I brightened this image to make it look clear, as you can see on the right, this look is more effective and makes her 'shine'.
