Final chose for front cover: |
CROPPED IMAGE FOR THE FRONT COVER. |
Furthermore, I used the Polygonal Lasso tool on photoshop to crop the brick background out, I've done this because I want a contrasted grey colour for my background as this is my colour scheme. As you can see below this is how it turned out to look once I have cropped the model out of the background and into a grey contrasted background. Also, I cropped a bit of the models hair with the tool 'polygonal lasso' as it was in the way of some of the sky lines.
Also, as you can see in this image the model's eyes are sparkling, this is because I used a flash which made her eyes look all flashy and sparkly. Therefore, to make this image look more professional and presentable I will use the 'Burn tool' and darken the brightness/flashiness of the eyes a little so it doesn't look fake.
Looking at this image on the right, I used the burn tool to make her eyes look natural but not fake. Because the image above shows the eye's as being too bright and 'flashy' I then used the burn tool to make it less bright and flashy and make it look more natural and real.
Original chose for my front cover
The reason why I chose this image to be my front cover in the beginning was that it gave an R&B feel by the model's props and the models facial expression. However, when I tried designing the front cover I should work with this image effectively because; I should of took the picture showing the whole model beanie as the title would of gone behind her. Even though I asked my potential readers what they thought of this image for the front cover and most people said that this image gives a more 'Rihanna' look so it would be good for the magazine front cover. On the other hand it didn't personally work for me. I couldn't apply it properly so, I took more pictures and I took one amazingly right photo of the same model but in different clothes and lipstick so it fitted the colour scheming. Therefore, this picture is not going to be used for my front cover but the one above & I might use it for my dps.
